Privacy policy for the DharmaLife application, including collection, use, retention, security, and contact details.
Overview
This privacy policy applies to the DharmaLife app (the "Application") for mobile devices, package name com.dharma.dharmaalife, created by Sayantan Banerjee (the "Service Provider") as a free service. The service is intended for use "AS IS".
This policy was published and is effective as of 2026-06-13.
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This may include your device IP address, the pages you visit inside the Application, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, the time spent in the Application, and the operating system used on your mobile device.
For a better experience, the Service Provider may request personally identifiable information such as your email address and name. That information is retained and used as described in this policy.
The Service Provider may also use the information you provide to contact you from time to time with important information, required notices, and service-related communications.

The Application uses PostHog Analytics to understand how users interact with the Application, improve features, diagnose technical issues, and enhance user experience.
PostHog may collect information such as device information, operating system, app version, session information, screen views, feature usage, crash or performance data, and IP address, which may be used to derive approximate location. This information is used for analytics, product improvement, and service reliability.
Location Data
The Application may request access to your device location, with your permission, to calculate location-based Panchang information such as sunrise, sunset, tithi, nakshatra, muhurat, and other calendar-related timings.
Location data is not used for continuous tracking unless explicitly stated in the Application.
Third-Party Services
The Application may use third-party services that process information according to their own privacy policies, including:

Disclosure
The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information when required by law, when needed to protect rights or safety, or with trusted service providers working on their behalf who agree to these rules.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application through the standard uninstall process on your device or app marketplace.
Data Retention and Deletion
The Service Provider retains user-provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time afterward.
Users may request deletion of user-provided data by contacting the Service Provider at sayantan420.sb@gmail.com. The Service Provider will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13.
If a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will delete it from their servers as soon as it is discovered.

The Service Provider uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the confidentiality of information that is processed and maintained.
